BIO
The solo project of artist and producer David Julé, Void Comp fuses electronic downtempo, indie and alternative rock into a unique, atmospheric sound. Known for his lush, dark production, Void Comp crafts a vivid atmosphere through a mix of breathy synths, thick electronic drums, deep baritone guitar and weary vocals.
Coming off a couple years of writing a new album and playing festivals such as Sled Island, Purple City and Verboden, Void Comp is gearing up for the release of a new album in summer 2026.
Originally from the prairie town of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Julé turned to music as an escape from the monotony of small-town life. Motivated to pursue his passion more seriously, he moved to Vancouver, BC, where he studied Music Production and Audio Engineering at SAE Institute. After earning his diploma and playing in various bands, Julé launched Void Comp as a means of fully expressing his individual musical vision. During covid, Julé left Vancouver and relocated back to the prairies and is now based out of Edmonton, Alberta.
